Judge Loose Cannon has thrown out the classified documents case because she's decided special counsels are unconstitutional, despite all the previous cases involving special counsels. The appeal will go to the 11th circuit and I would think she will be removed from the case.
Yep (See my post above).

I’m not sure trying to remove Judge Cannon from the case for bias is the right strategy tbh - she has already made a ruling so that route would surely result in a mistrial which would be perfect for Trump.

There was a good interview with President Biden this evening with MSNBC after the assassination attempt and answering questions on the Judge Cannon ruling - Seemed rather robust tbh

Sen JD Vance who blamed Trump’s assassination attempt on Biden yesterday has been chose by Trump to be his Vice President running mate.
Has already said the UK is “the first Islamist country with nuclear weapons”.

Great.

We have an issue if Trump gets the White House, a few Labour ministers made comments about Trump thinking they wouldn't have to deal with him, however here we are.... Labour have overturned a massive Tory majority and Trump looks like he's getting back in.

The relationship will be toxic from day one.

Seriously?

Geeezus.

Maybe David Lammy calling the then-President Trump a “neo-Nazi-sympathizing sociopath” in a 2018 op ed in Times Magazine wasn’t such a good idea for a future Foreign Secretary in retrospect 😂😂😂

Maybe it's just me but I don't think Team Trump spend an awful lot of time reading The Times Magazine

If he didn’t hear about it at the time when he was President (which he probably did because his media team track that stuff daily) , he’s certainly heard about it since David Lammy was appointed Shadow Foreign Secretary - it’s been plastered across global media outlets for months .

btw - I have some sympathy for the views Lammy expressed

The Election thread seems to have fallen by the wayside a bit in recent days as we’ve all got caught up in the assassination of Trump’s upper earlobe so back on the campaign trail …

“Donald Trump’s choice of JD Vance as his vice-presidential pick has reignited fears in Europe that he would pursue a transactional “America first” foreign policy that could culminate in the US pushing for Ukraine to acquiesce to Vladimir Putin and sue for peace with Russia”

(Did anyone else read that as ’vice-presidential prlck’? .

Trump is now leading in all 7 swing states and Biden is polling behind 4 democrats in candidate preference. Top Democrats, including high ranking senator, Adam Schiff are still baying for Biden to step aside with two thirds of the democratic voters wanting Biden to go.

An unsurprisingly damming anti-Biden article in the Guardian today by Ahmed Moor who is a US-Palestinian writer and anti-zionist activist

Nah...it won't affect anything. Vance was VERY rude about Trump in the past, and now he's his running mate.
If the relationship is toxic from the start, then it was going to be that whatever.

Starting around 42 seconds, Biden says, in response to a question about what might make he reconsider staying in the race:

If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem.

Biden has Covid and is self-isolating. This after having a cough last week at the NATO conference.

Surely this - on top of Trump surviving the assassination attempt - must cause him to seriously reflect on stepping down.

If Biden was to step down, today would be the best day to do it. The Republicans will nominate Trump the evening and Biden stepping aside would totally steal his thunder. Which he'd hate.
