I've been reliably informed we are playing Watford away.

Apparently not happening now. They are playing Brentford instead.

Well, looking back at a previous season that wasn't impacted by Covid or a mid-season World Cup....

In 2019-20 the PL season started on Aug 10 and the players reported back from June 27.

In 2024-25, the PL season starts a week later on Aug 17 so if they have the same lead-in time we should probably expect players to return from around July 4. (Shannon Ruth mentioned in an article recently that the U-21 players were reporting back one week earlier than that on June 26).

I think they normally come in on a Thursday and Friday for assessments, check ups, health stuff. (so July 4th - the election ! - and 5th lets say) - so perhaps start training again on the Mon - July 8th ? (Will Dunk and Gross still be at the Euros ? - the semi final and finals are that week)

re: the Albion friendly set up . Amex friendly on the 10th/11th ? and perhaps a closed door game on tues/weds 6/7th august if previous seasons are a guide. Did they bother with a training camp last year - given USA visit - presumably trip/week in Japan will double up for that ?
