Offiah still highly thought of at Blackpool -
"Offiah is well beyond this standard. The team he is playing in isn't."
Reply: "He’s that good we could maybe try him in midfield or up front 2nd half."
Unfortunately that's no longer an option - he's gone off injured.

Off topic, but I did chuckle at this on the Blackpool forum -
Good job our bench is strong.
Why - are there some fat lads sitting on it?

Oh dear - bit of a howler from Beadle apparently. Some talk that he might have been fouled, but nothing given.

Cozier-Duberry hooked, but he did get a good 60 minutes in the game.
I actually haven't seen very much of Beadle (and certainly not in first team football). However, I watched extended highlights from that Sheff Wed v Coventry game today and .... I wasn't very impressed, I have to say.

In the first half he made a save but pushed the ball straight back into the middle of the area - Coventry's Simms slid in and put the ball into the net but the referee decided it was a foul on Beadle as he attempted to get the ball. I think Beadle was EXTREMELY fortunate as it was a 50:50 ball and a perfectly good goal, in my opinion.

And then, in added time at the end of the match with the scores level, a high but nothing ball was lofted into the penalty area and Beadle completely fumbled a catch. The ball bounced and Simms challenged Beadle, won the ball (completely fairly in my view) and tucked it into an empty net for the winner.

One game (and only highlights at that) is, of course, a very small sample, but I didn't see anything today that suggests Beadle might be challenging for a start in the Premier League any time soon.
