Turning away from the misery at the City Ground, time to look with a little more hope to see how our lads out on loan (the lucky ones?) are doing today.
Premier League -
Buonanotte - on the bench;
Enciso - starts for Ipswich Town - let's hope he destroys the Stains!
The Championship -
O'Mahony - still not fit enough to be in the squad;
Sarmiento - starts;
Beadle - starts;
Moran - bench.
League 1 -
Offiah - starts;
Chouchane - not in matchday squad;
Doyle - bench.
League 2 -
McGill - regains his place in goal for MK Dons;
Barrington - not in matchday squad.
Scottish Championship -
Ben Jackson - on the bench for his new club, Queen's Park.

Abdallah Sima's Stade Brest take on PSG later.
Moran scored

BBB has announced his (permanent) departure from Albion.

Ah that's a real shame. Although RDZ threw him into the team way too early in an attempt to embarrass Bloom and Barber, I thought he showed a lot of promise and maturity in that difficult situation.

Even though I don't like Millwall, I wish him well.

Certainly looks likely, plenty of 'noise' in the media. I see they've just broken their transfer record to sign a winger from Sparta Rotterdam - might not be such a good move for BBB after all. Championship's a big step up from League 2 as well.

Another 'is there something in the wind' question - no sign of Osman in the Feyenoord squad this afternoon............
Interesting.

Meanwhile, do you think that O’Mahony will be officially recalled and take Ferguson’s place on the bench/treatment table once the older Irishman links up with Potter again?

A while back, I read somewhere that he was determined to stay at Pompey to play when he has recovered, and that Pompey management still wanted to keep him and ours were in agreement about this. Sorry, can't provide a link or any sort of verification. Of course, circumstances might have. changed with all that's going on here.
My money would be on him finishing the season at Pompey. There - I've said it! Now awaiting the egg on my face!

We're leaving it late on a lot of decisions - whether to recall Chouchane and Barrington, and who's going out on loan.

Chouchane has shown glimpses of quality but not regularly enough and as we appear to have significantly upgraded our midfield over Jan he does now appear surplus. I reckon a Lg 2 loan would be good for him..especially after the way Marc L developed with us starting in Lg 2.
