Nice to see that at least one of our current loanees is A). Doing well and B). Is appreciated by the fans - it hasn't been going so well for many of them this season. West Brom and Coventry fans couldn't wait to get rid of Sarmiento and Ayari; Blackburn are turning against Moran, and Port Vale fans are wondering why they're being lumbered with a Blackpool reject.
At Sheffield Wednesday, young Beadle is apparently even worse than their own inadequate GK that he was brought in to replace; his kicking is terrible (I think in Owls-speak this means he doesn't hoof it half way into the opponent's half - you know, 'proper' football!) - the fact that he's kept 3 clean sheets out of 7 - no mean feat in a struggling team - seems to have passed them by!
It seems a long time since the likes of White, Gyokeres, Van Heckle (POTS at Blackburn, IIRC), Ostigaard and Clarke were getting rave revues from fans at the host club!
At least Swans fans seem to appreciate Rushworth, and Crewe fans seem quite pleased with Turns so far - and Rangers fans wanted to keep Sima too.
Oh the differing fan views, close friend and Wednesday STH thinks Beadle is “quality” and getting better by the game.

Championship loan for Leonard next season then if we’re doing his development right. Straight to Prem football, where he might not start many, would be such a big leap.

I hope Marc goes back to BHAFC has a stellar pre season and ends up in the first team squad. Whatever happens, he’s been exemplary for us and now he’s added goals to his game he’s a genuine all rounder. He deserves to be playing regularly next season not sat on a bench somewhere.

Obviously it wasn't to long ago we were at your level. I think we'd all agree the step up to the Premier League is way bigger than we imagined (even though we've done so well).
But what's your hunch, assuming you watch a bit of the Prem? Reckon he can step up?

So pleased for Leonard who seems the model pro and has undoubted quality.
Will be very, very interesting to see what happens in the summer.
For a club like ours 22 seems relatively old but for a CM is really isn't. I'm reminded of Lampard in particularly who joined Chelsea at 22/23 and before that, though clearly much more experienced than someone like Leonard, I don't think anyone really saw him as world class. It was the next couple of seasons where his game really shifted up a few levels.
We know Leonard was the closest player statistically to Caicedo last season, and this season he's clearly stepped up a level and is now also thriving in a much more advanced position. Could he be a late bloomer and contribute next season?
Would be a great story if he did, and not exactly unprecedented - Sanchez made the step up from League One to capable PL performer for us. Not sure anyone saw that coming.

I watch all of Brighton games either live or on the telly and have done for a few years now as well as loads of other prem and Lg 1 and 2 football. We’ve had a few star loans over the years..Kyle Walker and Dominic CL to name two. Cobblers fans who have seen ML over the last two years live way more than me rate him as the best ever. Maybe a loan to a decent Champ club with a recall in Jan but he will be 23 next year so really needs to get established somewhere. Hinshelwood has shown that if you’re good enough you’ll play. I think he’d be good enough but guess it also depends on what other attacking midfield options BHAFC have next year.

Yes - and no sooner had I posted than someone started a new Beadle thread on Owlstalk that is much more positive - still a few dissenters though.

Chance to watch one of our loanees live in action on BBC1 this evening - Andrew Moran (no.24) starts for Blackburn against the barcodes. Ayari on the bench.

In league action, there is a potential Albion derby at Port Vale tonight - Jensen Weir starts for the home side; Imari Samuels though has to start on the bench for Fleetwood.
No sign of Jack Hinchy in the Shrewsbury squad at Lincoln tonight though.

Edit: Sorry - just spotted Hinchy's name on the list of substitutes.
