Tough night for our young GKs tonight. Swansea two down in 10 minutes against Leeds, now 4-0 down.
Massive getting beaten (surprise surprise) at Leicester - Beadle getting pelters for (presumably obeying instructions) not hoofing it. First goal was due to playing it out from the back....."Imagine the reaction if Dawson (their other GK) did that" moans one fan - well, the reaction would have been giving him pelters for obeying instructions and trying to play out from the back, you doughnut!

In the Albion derby at Norwich today, Sarmiento will have a chance to play against Rushworth - he'll have to wait though; he's starting on the bench. Elsewhere in the Championship, Beadle is in goal for Massive, bur Moran and Ayari are on bench warming duties again for Blackburn.
In League1, Leonard and Hinchy both start, but Weir and Samuels are only on the bench.
Ed Turns starts again for Crewe in League2.

I'm watching the second half of Millwall v Massive.

Beadle's had nothing to do but by jimminy he looks about 12 years old.

There is a thread on Hotel End (Northampton Town forum) and this line appears… “Leonard will plausibly go down as the best player to ever play for the club.”

Edit - just seen all the above😂

mixed reports from the locals

Nice research, #Dazzer6666.
Ripping up the lower leagues with Northampton. A 'late developer' on our hands, perhaps (he's 22 now)? The lad's certainly got a good career at lower than PL level football - which is not the worst thing in the world - but can he make it to the PL, or to us? Closest stats to Caicedo and all that ....................

He’s been very very good recently..thrives in an attacking midfield role..chuffed to have had him for two seasons. Hopefully BHAFC have seen how well he’s developing and will send a few more gems in the future.
It's good to see our loanees doing well and being appreciated, so I think you've got a better chance of that than, say, Blackpool, Stoke, West Brom. or Cheltenham!

🤞👍 irrespective of our league position, we have over the last few years achieved a very strong reputation for playing and developing young loan players, which is so important, when relatively speaking you don’t have a pot to p1ss in!
