Luton seem to have a 2 week break between their last friendly and season start.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have arranged something with Jones.

I feel like we've traditionally played Fulham a lot even dating back to Withdean. U23s are announced as playing them but i wonder if the seniors have something behind closed doors as well.

All a bit of a nonsense that it's so secretive these days

Seems like the U23s are doing all the heavy lifting in regards to friendlies. I wonder if the likes of Andone, Lamptey & March will join them to get much needed match time under their belts?

The Inter Milan game is now a lot more interesting after Italy’s victory at the Euros.

So we have

Sat 24th July
Rangers(A)

Sat 7th Aug
Getafe(H)

I would reckon on 2 Championship fixtures between with Luton still suspiciously free on the weekend of July 31st.

Is the Getafe game this years high profile friendly or do we have someone bigger lined up?

Covid restrictions (mostly from other European counties) will simply not allow any team other than a La Liga teams to come to this Country. In terms of going abroad, I can’t see many EPL teams going to the continent, they won’t let us in for a friendly, just Liverpool to Austria and a pre-season tournament in Florida for some other clubs. Rangers away is probably the best we can do, we were late to the party with Spanish clubs so the choice was limited (but could now help us land a wingback).
