I love all these negative vibes.

We stay up,we look for next seasons fixtures.

We go down,we look for next seasons fixtures.

Prefer the first option, but will still be supporting the Albion---the players, manager, chairman et al (if I can call them al.)

UP THE ALBION!!!!!

I went to the match today (I live in Coventry, so I walked home), and it wasn't as bad as threads here make it seem. A draw wouldn't have seemed an unreasonable result today.

The penalty was odd; the ball went behind a pillar, and the next thing I could see was the ref pointing to the spot. I had no idea what had happened.

The disallowed goal looked ok to me too - I didn't think McCammon was offside, as he never touched the ball (no change there then).

Virgo's goal was excellent - best thing on the pitch all day. Coventry did have two spells of fairly constant pressure - just after half time, and near the end - and they got goals from both of them. Apart from that I didn't think that much of them. We were unlucky not to equalise straight after Coventry went 2-1 ahead.

Having said all that - I thought we were in trouble five games ago, now we really are. We might stay up, but it looks pretty bleak. Forest are playing Coventry on Wednesday, and we don't want either of them to get any points.

I know I'll get slated for saying this but we shouldn't be in this division anyway, we did fluke our way in!

f***ing well said . . . and 5 defeats in a row is piss poor by anyones standards and our goal difference is almost the worst in the land !

what amazes me is how we can go and win at places like Shef Utd ? ? ?

I have said for some weeks on NSC that it will all depend on the last game against Ipswich. We will need a draw.
As for being lucky last season and sneaking promotion, well maybe lady luck is getting even this season.
If we do go down, so what? We the true fans will be there supporting the Albion

Last time in this division we started with 11 consecutive defeats and then picked up magnificently under Coppell. are we now saving the losing streak until the end after a promising start
I don't really apportion blame though. We have lost Kuipers (a crucial loss - although today's goalie looked quite sound - Hinshelwood, Mayo (more savvy than Harding) and Carpenter.
We can;t afford any good loan signings of note. Coventry had The Goat and Dyer. We could never attract that sort of player, I;m afraid.

Oh shut up you numpties, we should have had a point at Stoke, a point against Reading, and by the sound of it a point today. The common link between all three games - crap decisions from the refs that directly cost us the games.

Lets actually get behind the team at Withdean, we need to do our bit at home, because that vocal support has been disgracefully abscent in a lot of games this season.

I'm glad someone said it :lolol:

What a comedy that we have a brilliant show of support for the team today after the final whistle and we then have to come back to NSC to read a thread like this where people are debating whether we were shitter last season or this season. Have a poll lads

The reason being that the people posting on the thread are people who havent been at the match and have only seen two games all season or in junior's case = five games.

Mr turd and junior may have opinions but they're not based on what they have seen only what they have read and think they know

at the start of the season i would have takenthis position with 6 games to go. its hard to take now though after think we were looking at a lower to mid table position a couple of weeks back. 1 thing i do know is if everybody resigns us to relegation whenwe have such a battle in front of us then the players will get more dispondant and even more nervous. lets get behind the team and encourage them, now more than ever as we need it most now.
after all its still been a great season. winning away at west ham, sheff utd, leicester, forest etc. then taking 4 points from leeds, and also beating sunderland and millwall. look at the teams we have beat there. now if you cannot enjoy watching the albion beat these teams then you wanna try watching a differant sport.
even if we do go down its still been a brilliant season.
