Stamp Duty, Inheritance Tax, Robbery of Pension Funds, Mismanagement of the economy, growth based on credit and not sustainable basis, Northern Rock fiasco, lack of consumer and business confidence in this government, I could go on but they are to blame for a lot of the mess we are in.

And the weather. Don't forget to blame them for the weather

a very modest man, with much to be modest about to quote sir winston churchill.:lolol:

Hmm..let's see, oversaw the independence of India, established the NHS and the welfare state, rescued the railways, mines et al from collapse, started a massive expansion of affordable housing...

It is no doubt a mark of your political ignorance that you equate a hatred of Thatcher with support for neo-Labour's tory-lite policies.

As a financial services type could you give us your take on the responsibility of speculators and sub-prime lending for the current situation?

Please explain what the current economic situation has got to do with the current government? How did they cause it? The principle issues with the current economy are mainly down to the sub-prime issue and rising living costs..mainly down to the price of oil. Neither are the government's fault.
in the same way that the last 15 years of economic good times cant be laid at the door of that incompetent unreformed old labour scottish **** either.

Tory philosophy is based purely on selfishness and greed.

They've consistently opposed everything that benefits the population as a whole, from the formation of the National Health Service, through investment in public transport, education and services, to the introduction of the Minimum Wage.

A pox on their poxy tax cuts :salute:

Brown was the luckiest chancellor in ths history of this government , he rode the wave of Worldwide economic upturn including a rampant USA and inherited the strongest economic conditions of any chancellor in history. He squandrered billions probably hundreds of billions of that wealth on bureacracy and red tape and consultants, to make a NSC football comparison he was the Peter Taylor of the political world just had a steering job to do. He had NOTHING to do with creating the economic upturn.

Some of it is out of his control but he has no war chest to turn to in these difficult times as he spunked it all away on Pr men, consultants, rules and regulations an army of pen pushing civil servants and compliance officers who create no product or wealth whatsoever.

You could, and indeed SHOULD, add that as Prime Minister, he's had practically nothing to do with creating the economic downturn.
labour supporters like to peddle the lie that people are pissed off with them due to current economic conditions, which is utter bollocks , as far as economic downturns go we aint seen nothing yet, people are pissed off with labour because of the dire state of the nhs, crime , immigration, poor public transport, a sub standard education system and being taxed up to the f***ing eyeballs only for them to spunk it up the wall, thats why were pissed off with them.

Never mind, eh, you'll have your Tory Boy government soon enough. Then you won't have to worry anymore about the NHS, public transport or a sub standard eduction system. As long as you got LOADSAMONEY that is.

The tragedy of new labour is not that they have ruined the country, but they have done so little to improve the mess they inherited from Major.
