Well if Ederson stays on for what he just did then yellow was the correct decision
They're not remotely comparable.
Anyway, Ederson didn't prevent a goalscoring opportunity, so it's hardly surprising that the best ref gave it a yellow, and all the commentary team didn't think it was a red.
In terms of Moder, I don't think it is a blatant red like others do, but I wouldn't be complaining if he got one.

It's a red. Way more wreckless than WBG's and that was a definite red.
You cannot dive in like that, be that far from the ball and make any contact with the player. Not since the 90s.

I think that's the first time I've seen moder attempt a sliding tackle in his years at the club.

Hopefully he'll learn to stay on his feet.

Yes. It looked a red. Any higher and var would surely have overturned

Red sadly having seen it now on a replay. Although must say the ref was so inconsistent, we got lucky, VAR must have still been waiting for their pizza or something ...I've been apalled at the inconsistency and lack of actual calling the rules this season. I cannot see the point of VAR anymore at all, several of the throw ins went completely to the wrong team. Ferguson was bascially a punching bag for them, if he wasn't being clattered and straightarmed, he was being held back by the shirt or at one stage by his shorts...Maybe if Forest stopped the cheating and actually played football they wouldn't be where they are...the refereeing today in places was diabolical, VAR should have sorted a few things out, but were seemingly asleep.

So a wild assault on a player nowhere near the ball is not red card? Well there we are.

The most curious thing..
You can't jump in with both feet aimed at somebody's leg, even if you meant to get to ball and missed.

I thought yellow from WSU, but having seen a replay I'm surprised it wasn't a red, although I want to see it from another camera angle. He definitely tried to play the ball with the laces and not go straight through with studs, but he didn't get the ball and caught him with studs.

Right in front of ref ..don’t really think I want VAR involved in this sort of incident
Note trainer wasn’t needed

Forest will probably be moaning that Battenberg has been denied access to the refs room again

Live I thought it was a yellow. I suspect replays will make it look worse.
They do in slow motion. At normal speed it is without doubt a yellow card. I applaud the on-field referee and VAR for reaching the correct decision.

Anyone got a working clip of it? Looked like a good tackle going for a 50/50 straight after he'd won an initial tackle live. Happy to change my mind but would like to see it.

I’m calm about it, Forest wouldn’t have scored if we had nine
