We looked like we had far more skill on the ball and our passing was palpably better...until the last pass.

They were more direct and physical and that made them more of a threat at set pieces. Especially given the quality of their dead ball service.

Paul Simpson has a good track record as a manager in the lower leagues. He nearly got PNE in to the Prem a few seasons back and I think he will get Shrewsbury in to L1 this season too.

You misunderstand people. I didn't say there was a gulf between us and shrewsbury - I said there was a gulf between leagues. Shrewsbury were shit opponents compared to what we are used to in the league, hence we were evenly matched. As I said, two very poor teams.
