On a (slightly) different subject does anyone know what those quotations are displayed on the walls at the Oval? The cameras never stay on them long enough for my poor old eyes to focus.
i've tried googling but no success.

I have been to the Oval many a time, but not noticed any quotations. However, I do know there is one that says "From an acorn grows a great Hollioake".

Been in the pavilion a few times and a building to save and be proud of. However that new red box next to it.
I like it. There is a second identical one, going up eventually, the other side of the pavilion.

I'm undecided on the "Letter Box" building. It may grow on me. I really disliked the media centre at Lords when it was first done, but now I think it looks fanatastic. Need to give this one some time and see what else they build.

I have never done old Trafford, so hopefully one day will get to see the red box, but via the medium of pictures, I like the look of it, is the idea for them to have two.

They said on TMS that in fact LCCC had run out of money, so were having to tone down their ideas for the second one. As such, it won't be identical but is likely to in fact be quite a bit smaller, apparently.
