I think that the "Withdean Factor" does affect the players but I'm not sure we fully realise how much it affects us, the fans. Week in week out we come to a dreadful 'stadium' where the facilities are appalling. You have to walk miles for a piss, the food is shit, there's no atmoshere, and you get soaked to the skin, and then to make things worse the football is shit too.

So perhaps we feel that we DESERVE a succesful team just because we have the balls to turn up at all, and maybe we are not as patient as we might be in a stadium where the overall EXPERIENCE is great.

Better than playing infront of 1500 people in Kent tho - which is what we were doing before we got Withdean.

it may be crap compared to anywhere else but in the past we seemed to turn that to our advantage. Now its being used as a convenient excuse to paper over cracks on the field that we can all see biut can do nothing about.

Its not the stadium, its not the fans, its not the chairman or the board, IT'S THE PLAYERS. who are at fault and if they can't give a toss (and judged by the last 2 home games I am wondering if they are even able to) why sholud we?
