Aha, just read that you can also text the letter 'E' to 118 800 from the mobile you don't want to be listed.

That'll cost ten pence or so though - it's free if you do it online.

The main advantage of having a mobile is that it is not listed but due to a loophole it can be obtained from MR lists and held in a directory database. 118 800 dont reveal the number but offer a connection service which I think is wrong as you should have to opt in rather than opt out if you want your number held in their system.
