As an aspiration that would be perfect.

But we can’t afford those players. Plus look at the money blown on Haller £45m, Joelinton £40m (a goal every 10 games), Pepe £72m, Lacazette £53m.

Looks like we’re settling for a fluid and packed midfield, sometimes playing with Welbeck, sometimes not.
I think we can afford to spend some decent money if the right player is available unfortunately we couldn’t get the deals over the line last summer. The Brighton fans goto list when ever big money is mentioned is flawed if you don’t list players that have worked for similar amounts.

Who is this right player?

You really are totally clueless, aren’t you?

He's either on a wind-up, or is doing the football equivalent of a die-hard Johnson fan boy. Facts are no longer important.

Anyway, football is all about opinions.

Oh, hang on. No. No, it isn't. It's about facts. :lolol:

He's already admitted he's on a wind-up.

So do the mods think it's good for the forum to have someone deliberately winding up the Brighton fans? Fair play if that's their call.

Agreed. It’s generally someone we’ve not heard of. The club have the scouting network, we know little. Plus all the names cited by the media are necessarily on the radar of every other club in Europe with a similar or greater budget.

Facts - not been a good day for football in Kent today...

How would I know? I could wish list some sensible options mainly from foreign leagues although the club probably wouldn’t be interested in any of them.

Does that mean you have little faith in your skills as a scout, or little faith in the club to take you seriously?

(It's both isn't it? ??? :lolol: I'll hold my hand up to being in the first camp, but far too sensible to put my head above the parapet wrt second )

I hope you're feeling chipper after that win. I have a warm glow, all inside. :lolol:

Again, there's a very simple "post report" function on the site that, if followed, will mean me, the other mods and the site owner will get to consider the post.

Mentioning one mod, stand alone, isn't helpful.

No worries.

I hate to be grumpy on such a wonderful day (and I'm not really) but the way the world is, what is acceptable and what is trolling and what is acceptable because of the particular culture of a site is a complex business.

At the end of the day it's not my ball.

Only an Albion loss triggers his release clause from under the bridge

I have reported him. Let the mods decide if his comments are fair comment.

In the meantime, let's see if this is fair comment:

OP, you are a fool or a knave. My money is both.

On the flip side, Dover got relegated from the National League with nil points, so won’t be playing Maidstone next year...

Ah, Dover. Owned by lardy gammon, with a weird sense of entitlement (if he's still there, and the club haven't already been taken over by the council with half an eye on the land and the other* on a skip). If ever a board needed to be sacked....

*The council are clearly one-eyed, in case anyone is couning.
