Love the fact we are finally dining at the top table but every now and then there’s no harm in being reminded that in some ways the journey can be better than the destination.

That night remains my favourite ever game. I think everyone knew that automatic promotion was inevitable with that win - the third in 6 days.

It was absolutely superb. Quite warm I think as I remember having beers with my mate outside by the Thames and then getting a dodgy fried chicken to soak it up with. In the top corner of the top tier. the shittiest seats of all, but went absolutely batshit when it went in. Afterwards singing "we're on our way" with loads of Brighton in the concourse including Dick Knight. Then walking to the tube alon South Africa Road some random bloke in from of me and my mate looked at us, grinned and said "that's it, we've done it now". He was right.
