"To give the thumbs up to this deal at a time when the Premier League is promoting the women's game and inclusive initiatives such as rainbow armbands, shows the total hypocrisy at play and demonstrates the league's soulless agenda where profits trump all

Pathetic is an understatement. I'm assuming that the complaint came from Newcastle's new owners. Not content with suppressing free speech in their own country, they appear to want to do the same here. Respect to the Palace fans....we should aim to do something similar.

Exactly!

I am 100% with the palace fans here as should all right minded football fans!

I read somewhere that Parish was the main reason for the vote by the EPL clubs last week that (at least for now) stops Newcastle setting up sponsorship deals with connected Saudi organisations. He may be Palace, but he often talks a load of good sense.

Utter bellends. I'd like to see us produce a similar banner in a few weeks.

The laughable argument from the Geordies and the predictable ex-Geordie lickers is “that over time they hope their ownership, educates the Saudis on all such issues and they take that home”.

Can anyone really see a barbaric medieval regime in Riyadh liberalising because of a sportswashing asset held 3,000 miles away?

If any of them are charged with an offence, I'd be happy to donate to any GoFundMe thingy to help with their legal expenses.

It's called free speech. You know, the thing you get tortured or murdered for in some countries.....

“On Saturday 23 October police received a report of an offensive banner displayed by Crystal Palace fans. Officers are assessing the information and carrying out enquiries. Any allegations of racist abuse will be taken very seriously.”

Pathetic. I'm with the Palace lot on this one.

There is no racist abuse in the banner.
