Saw the ST tweets on the day of that Burton game.

They offered a full refund, were quite clear that they would pay for train travel or petrol for anybody who decided to make their own way up (even when one guy said the train fare would cost him in the region of £100, and also offered a free trip to a forthcoming game. The person doing the tweets was incredibly apologetic and responded to everyone who asked him/her a question.

All businesses have moments when things go wrong. It's how you respond to that which marks you out as a good quality business or not. Southern Rail, as we all know, offer a great big **** you to everyone when their services fail (repeatedly). Seagulls Travel appear to have worked very hard on this occasion to put things right.

Absolutely correct, Seagulls Travel were always spot on as far as customer service was concerned so to flame them for something out of their control is harsh.

I was on MB43 (Ernest's ARS bus) which lost all it's cooling water and gave up the ghost by the Dyke Tavern. To be fair a replacement bus was sent out very quickly and if it wasn't for the heavy traffic I wouldn't have missed the first 6 minutes. All in all I have to say 'Well done' to Seagulls Travel - these things happen

Agreed. But they do use some wrecks so have a higher chance of breakdowns.

Yeah, I was one of those affected, and missing the first five minutes of the game. Got to the bus stop around 1:45pm, ten minutes before it was due. Apparently broke down...and turned up after the match started (much like us).
I believe it was the one from Uckfield.

I refer my learned friends to a post regarding the 19:10 train from Lewes last Tuesday that, on arrival at the platform, it was anounced it would not stop at Falmer. 150 plus fans on the platform and not one complaint (well one, me).
ST02 fails to turn up, affecting maybe 50 people and NSC goes mental.
I've used ST a few times, including Boro overnight, and have always found them to be very good.
Going back to the Forest train mentioned earlier (I was at the game by car), ask now who was on the train and you'll find over 1000 people will put their hands up.

To be fair though it's like comparing a high class escort with a cheap £25 prostitute from a street corner in Croydon. You expect an STD from the latter so you are far less likely to complain afterwards
