Brilliant...why not invite the knuckle draggers along too and you can all do it.
What is this Clown Weed love in ?
Good club Charlton, great set of fans, a true gentleman for a manager. You could learn a lot from these guys.

The knuckle draggers were safely tucked up in their Norwood maisonettes planning their next burglaries.

Only fans of 2 decent clubs were at the Amex last night.

I'm baffled why people seem to think Charlton's game plan worked so well last night. We missed a catalogue of chances, some of them sitters. They clung on to a draw with luck and an excellent goalkeeping display. Nothing tactically clever about that.

This. Calderon had 4 or 5 VERY good goalscoring oppurtunities, none more so than the shot he dragged wide. The double block in the first half stopped two certain goals, and the wonder save at the end, as well as Greer's late header. The closest they came was a 35 yard wonder strike in the last minute. Restricting a team to 6 or 7 very good chances is hardly tactically brilliant, i'd say they were more lucky that every chance fell to a defender.

Fair play to them though, got what they came for, and seemed a good bunch on the train. Apart from the Danny Dyer tribute acts at Brighton station, all of whom looked 15-17 and anything but intimidating.

I think you missed the first half effort that only just went over and a second half header that wasn't that far off....I thought there side might be limited but they worked there socks off and kept a good shape throughout ....I wonder if Powell would be successful with a decent budget

I think you're the bestest T, for what it's worth :)

Thanks, I am just bemused as to why Bwian wants to make an adverse comment about me, but doesnt even have the decency to "mention" me so I can automatically link to the comment, as I have done to him.

I don't ever recall even having any dealings with Bwian so I can only assume he is siding with others within my fan club

Been a visitor on this site for a while now, But i just wanted to say thank you for a great day out, was speaking to a few Albion fans on the train and bus and seem like a great bunch, with great banter too. Also you were great when you came down to the Valley allways look forward to Brightons visit.
As in game wise yesterday i thought you were very unlucky and on another day you may of even scored 3 or 4. But Powell had a tactic (Parking the bus) which worked a treat last night, many football fans will call it boring, but in football, teams like us have to play this way in order to get something from the game , which shows huge amount of Respect towards you guys. Cracking stadium too absolutly beautiful, much better than the Withdean which was a nightmare last time i was down. Overall estatic with the point as many of our fans were fearing the worse.

Good luck with the play-offs which i'm sure you'll make and beat the palace scum if you do end up playing them. If not i hope we'll be seeing you next year ! All the best

I think "parking the bus" is harsh on Powell and your team, who did a great job on us all over the pitch.

He seemed a great tactician. There is a thread on here somewhere where a lot of us are saying as much.

Exactly my first thought too. Charlton defended high up the pitch rather than parking the bus. A lot more attractive than that awful first half that Cardiff played at the Amex last yr. Now that WAS anti football... Fair play to Charlton, you can see why they're a good away team...

You don't have to feel like the odd one out, you know. Just hate yourself & we can all have a cheery threesome.

It's the old 'cant please all of the people all of the time' scenario T, personally I have never found you anything other than very helpful & supportive :) Again, for what it's worth :)

Clearly you must be right, again thanks for the decent comments, I do my best.

I just can't understand someone making a comment like he did, out of the blue, for no reason, like he did  still not to worry, I certainly won't!
