I don't mind you wanting to play in a higher division and get paid more. I do mind you leaving us with 3 days to find your replacement you dolt.

Why another thread? Just... why? Why is this comment more interesting or important than all the other posts in all the other threads about the same subject, including the one directly below it which is 14 pages long?

I know the pain. O'neil left us 5 days before the season kicked off.....oops

Is there any idea if Gus even has anyone lined up to come in?

Why the silence for so long then hand in a request with 4 days left? Really out of order in my book and not the way to conduct business. Hardly gives us time to find a replacement does it! Absolutely gutted!

Thought he might want to finish the job here, get promoted and maybe actually win something. Then when he's proved himself perhaps move onto a higher level next season....

Blue tinted glasses and all but this just doesn't make sense to me, especially when he'd just signed a new contract.

If he goes to Norwich I hope they don't go up and we give them a good thrashing next season!

It's not the point though is it, he has acted in a pretty shit way regardless if we have anyone lined up.

His agent can do one as well, all agents can do one.

And Norwich can do a big one.

That is all.

That should not be the case though, should it. Gus and his team knew there was a possiblity of it, and would have known roughly what he was worth, so I'd be very surpised if he didn't have a list of realistic replacement targets, surely that's their job. They say that before he was re-appointed, Dalgliesh knew every single player in the prem and championship, and he wasn't even involved in the game.

Can understand wanting to play in a higher division but why 3 days before the close of the window. If this is true then Elliott can f*** off.

maybe the club have been sitting on the transfer request for a while and have been trying to line up a replacement, if he does go I hope there is a bidding frenzy and we bank a fortune.

I know that this is a bit radical but so far it is reported in The Sun and The Argus (neither are exactly to be trusted). We have seen nothing that could really be called official. I think we should wait until we see a really official source before we start slagging off players and especially giving him a hard time at Watford tomorrow.

Will he get abused if he plays tomorrow?

Can hope not, still one of if not the most important player at the club. Who knows the club might have turned down the request and told him to get on with it. Point in abusing our own players?
