LOL nice psychology but I'm Palace through and through, you really do have some statto freaks on here don't you ? If I ever need to know the average number of Ipswich fans that have a burger at half time as opposed to a hot dog I will know where to come :)

:lolol:

On average the answer is 6,512.

I know another stat that you are really gonna like.

P3 W3 D0 L0 Points 9

Scored 6
Conceded 2 - 1 was a PEN.

Yes you have had a quality start, but we're not crying, we saw the same with millwall(scum) last year. I'm well pleased with our start tbh, Saturday will tell us more about how the seasons going to go for us, I reckon you will be fine until Mr Poyet gets his head turned ...

Edna, The_Viper, thank you.

Just one observation, it does sometimes feel that the JCL tag is propogated by newbies to NSC themselves when they preface their first/early posts (eg "JCL here, haven't watched the Albion since the Goldstone"). In actual fact I would guess very few people on here would call them that. The huge majority of fans don't care if the person they sit next to at The Amex is watching their first game, or their second after a break of 20 years, or their 1,000th game. Most - the vast majority - are just delighted to be at The Amex with fellow Brighton fans. Time to lose this JCL tag.

Milwall had 6 points after 3 games, and 11 points after the first 6.

What these clever clogs fans who use the JCL tag forget is that they were once JCLs,everybody has to join sometime. In terms of watching the Albion I was watching the Albion before most of you were born (unless you're 54 or over) but that does not mean that I'm a better fan than you.Welcome to every new convert and old ones returning.

Perhaps in future us 'old' fans should refer to ourselves as 'FJCL,s'...(former johnny come latelys) as an acknowledgement that we were all JCLs once. Might make the new JCLs feel a little more welcome.

Lovely post saying thanks, but can new fans please stop feeling as though they have to apologise. We want loads of fans. We want an overflowing stadium, we want to grow as a club. We dont want a them and us. We are all Brighton fans old and new and we welcome everyone onto this great new part of the journey. Lets hope everyone stays for it all - good times and bad. As knowing Brighton there will be loads of both in the future!

Yep. Exactly my point. You're not a JCL or an FJCL - you're a Brighton Fan. Seagulls!

Is this under the old two points for a win system? :)

I concur with the majority on this, was an !00% follower in the 80's with my dad, and stopped going early 90's as played football. I went to Gillingham when I could, I was one of the 1500 or so that watched Maccesfield and I went to about 6 games a season at Withdean, but the majority last year. I go away when I can, but not as much as I would like as I have 2 young daughters that need daddy time as well, I am 38 and the excitment of a game is as huge now as it was in 1980, whether its on the radio with jonny Cantor or going, the fist pumping on Wednesday night actually made my heart hurt!!!!

my question is do you ever lose the JCL tag?

Agree though that it should be deleted permanently.....i imagine you cut us all in half, we would all bleed blue and white.

I agree that JCL is demeaning. I don't understand where it's come from in all honesty, I had us down as one of the most humble and accepting clubs in the league, now I can barely view this board without the term JCL being plastered across my screen. Where would you class me? I'm 21 and haven't lived in Brighton all my life, my Dad was born there and he turned me blue and white at 8 years old at Sixfields where we lost 2-1 to Northampton town in the Worthington Cup, I've watched us be promoted, relegated, and I never looked back.I remember sitting on my living room floor literally not breathing for several minutes when Tony Cottee on SSN was commentating as we were taking penalties against Man City in the CC, I could literally plough out a 10 page blog on my roller coaster of emotions as a Brighton fan Does the fact that Doncaster was my first home game in 6 odd years make me a JCL? Even if I've travelled all over this island to watch us play away from home as I live much further north?

Does it bollocks, nor does it make any seagulls abroad a JCL when they experience the AMEX for the first time, nor does it make a lad who fancies watching a game of football for the first time who just happens to pick Brighton a JCL. Would you rather the new fans, the distant fans and others all just not bother and go to Arsenal or someone instead? Personally I'm delighted everytime I hear of a newly converted Albion fan, it makes me proud that this club has came far enough to be able to convert people, to be able to welcome people to a beautiful ground and beautiful football. f*** me if sitting there aged 13 with all my Man Utd mates laughing at the state Brighton were in on a Satuday wasn't enough to tear me away from here, no chance will I let myself become some lesser fan because some bloke on here says so.

Please come and watch us, please support us and experience the roller coaster that is Brighton & Hove Albion, were all entitled to it, were all equal, and when were all in that ground or any other on our travels... Were f***ing brilliant, were f***ing brilliant, were f***ing brilliant :D :D :D :D :D

Well said, although if you could keep the noise down - you'll disturb the badgers.
