Thank you very much Mr Slade for your time here. You are a genuine nice guy in a genuinely nasty industry....there is no loyalty, no time and managers are constantly under the spotlight....and you have 6000+ people in the crowd who are 100% convinced they know more about players that you and the coaching staff ( who incidentally see them for possibly 7 hours a day every day) but hey....

One of the pit falls about coming to Brighton and Hove Albion is the appaling turnover of managers as the owners of this club have no f***ing idea as has been shown over the last 10 years!

All the very best in your career and put this episode down to experience. You are not the first to face the knife and will not be the last.

Bristol Rovers last year is right up there with the best of my Albion memories.

Indeed, that was the point at which we suddenly started to believe, a fantastic night.

Russ has brought in some decent players and given us a decent platform for the future. Just a shame that for reasons none of us can fathom they played like a bunch of individuals and performed well below their potential.

Russell, thanks for your efforts, shame the players let you down

Top bloke who did a QUALITY job that I don't think ANYONE else would have achieved last season. Thank you for all you did, mr Slade, and I truly hope you're not out of football for long. You don't deserve to be. Good luck in the future, and thank you for the work you did here.

Thank you Russell, desperately sorry it didn't work our for you here.
Hope and expect to see you back in a dugout soon and hopefully see you back at Withdean or Falmer in the future.

Big big thank you Russell, genuinely sad to see you go. My heart still says you should have had more time as your achievements here definitely merit but I guess we all know the reality of football in 2009...

I truly believe you leave the club in a far better place than when you arrived, & you provided us some great memories along the way too (Bristol Rovers being one of my favourites).

Cheers Russell!

I think you deserved more time after what you achieved last season and given time I'm sure you would have turned it around. I wish you all the best for the future and hope you're back in football soon!

Could have put it better but decided not to. This is spot on, Russ a top bloke as stated the club is in better shape, but can't think that is recognised...it is really sad and my best wishes to him and his family.

What happened at the end of last season was a sporting miracle, and I'll always be thankful to RS for that. I have no idea how we didn't get relegated.

I'm sure we're all sorry (including him) what has happened since, but Brighton is still not an easy manager's job and maybe we should have made the break in the summer.

Seems like an honest, decent bloke and I'm sure he will get another job in League One or Two.
