Hi all

I am thinking of making a trip down in the next few weeks and wonder if any of you have eaten at these places?

Any views?

Any other good chinese food to be had elsewhere in Brighton or Hove.

Thanks

I went in one called Good Friends in Preston Street about a month ago. Shockingly pissed though. Remember they did a very good Duck pancake starter.

Couldn't remember the name of it till it came through on my statement.........along with Mint Casino.

Went to Thai Elephant II a few months ago and it wasn't all that.

The crispy duck was bloody awful.

Thai elephant 2 was a bit of a fave for my family for a little while, its a nice place to go to. But it could have done a bit a of a downhill streak recently, felt the same thing with piccolo.

Both bog standard greasy Asian fare. Floating boat has bad reviews online and we weren't overly impressed. Thai Hefalump is okay, but no more than okay, you'd be better off going to that fantastic new Indian in Bartholomews that replaced Mama Cherries - fantastic food, ambience, service and best of all prices - £5.50 for a main course.

I cant vouch for the quality of these eateries buddy, but do you know how you are getting to them (or will that be a seperate thread) and do you need help with choosing what to eat once youre sat down (or is this going to be the subject of another thread)?

Can I also expect a 'Ive got my menu for the Thai Elephant' thread (translation - 'Ive got a season ticket and Im the first and only person ever to have one, arent I great and arent all the rest of you with lives that havent bothered to start a thread saying that their season tickets arrived a bunch of wally brains')?
