Ben Duckett 102* (88 balls, 19 fours, 1 six)

England 144-1 (25.5 overs)
To score 102 out of 136 (the score was 8/0 when he first faced a ball) would be incredible if he were batting with Boycott or Fowler. To do so, batting with players as free scoring as Crawley and Pope is scarcely believable.

In INDIA

"88-ball century, the second-fastest by an England opener in Test cricket"

"Ben Duckett's century is third fastest recorded in Tests vs India in India. Adam Gilchrist off 84 balls in Mumbai, 2001 and Clive Lloyd off 85 balls in Bangalore, 1974 are the fastest."

Ollie Pope, for his part, is playing some quite RIDICULOUS shots. One of the scoops was an absolute nonsense!

An absolutely sensational knock. One of the greats. Thrilling stuff.

Pope done on review... 182-2

Looked high, but was hitting top of leg. Good review for once.

That looked too high on the big screen replay, and Pope and Duckett were looking in disbelief when the 3 reds came up on the screen.
Did it look suspect on TV?

Hit above the knee roll on front foot, but only just in front of the crease... not far to travel... hitting top of leg. Harsh but fair?

I'm not convinced of Hawkeye. But I guess it is the same for everyone
