Oh and Gus hints at wanting Calderon to sign in the summer and speaks highly of both him and Crofts. I don't normally listen to the podcasts but this was pretty good.

Listened to it last night, very funny. Got to give a mention to Steven grant 'cos he does do a really good job on the podcasts, they're always pretty funny so if you've not listened to them before get on itunes and get involed, you won't regret it

Always make sure I listen to them as they are always funny and you often learn things about players/staff you wouldn't never find out from bog standard interviews.

Always worth a listen!

Thanks everyone - my fave one so far.

(putting on personal opinion hat)

Gus and Tano are, without a shadow of a doubt, two of the biggest characters I have ever seen working with, or for, the Albion. There's a spark there that you really can't pretend to have, and I have a feeling that Gus is a managerial genius, and the sort of guy that if we can keep for the medium to long term, will be the solution to Brighton's future ascent. He'll basically give us a team and a reputation befitting our new stadium. I think he's great.

Good listen, enjoyed that.

Strongly agree with the comparisons made between Taricco & Calderon. In fact soon after Gus & Tano were appointed, my Ipswich supporting mate sent a video of Taricco (then with the Tractor Boys) running the entire length of the pitch, getting to the penalty area and driving it past the keeper. With it, he put "I see Taricco's at Albion now, well I'm sure he'll soon have your full backs scoring goals like these.."

Needless to say it was the very first thing that came to mind when Calderon practically replicated it at Charlton. :clap2:
