I also went to school with Ross Johnson. I think he transferred in from some other school, so I'm guessing it was after he left the school where you knew him.

I also used to live next door to Darren Freeman
I went to Fairlight with Ross, it was around the age of 6 or 7 i think (memory of 40 years ago is a little hazy).

Darren Freeman was a couple of years above me at Varndean.

My parents live on a boat in the marina at the minute. Caicedo often has breakfast on the table next to them at the local cafe on off days.
Don't think he has many 'off days'........do you mean 'days off' perhaps ?

I was reminded the other day of the time when my mum and dad met Garry Nelson in a carpet shop and ended up buying the same carpet as him. What's your most tenuous link to an Albion player past or present? What's your Lame to Fame?
Was the carpet shop owned by the Bloom family ?

Jake Robinson’s mum is (or was) a nurse at my doctor’s surgery, she removed the stitches out of my head after an accident.

Not a player but I did some plumbing work for Dick Knight at his house in Hove.

One of my relations, Jack Vitty played for the Albion many years ago.
But his drinking and womanising got him kicked out.
I was also quite good mates with a certain Charlie Oatway in his time down here.

That tracks. I knew him at Hertford. I don't remember for certain if it was at the end of the primary school or in the middle school that he joined. I do remember a number of the other boys being very excited about his football abilities. There were maybe two or three kids in my year that everybody knew were "good" and Ross joined those ranks pretty much immediately.

I saw Tomer Hemed and his beautiful other half being driven to the training ground before he signed, I've seen a few players and managers driving to and from the training ground and they waived at me. Well not exactly waived but put their hands up to thank me for letting them go first. Oh and I saw Adrain Owers in Tesco's doing his shopping many years ago.

FDM stopped his car for me to cross the road at a zebra crossing in Haywards Heath a few years ago.

I was on a conference call once that had Gary Bailey (boooooo) on it too.

In the Withdean Years, a mate booked the pitch at Withdean for a friendly game, we used the team portacabin for changing too. This was during the season when Albion were playing away up north somewhere, and there was a home game in the week.

The same mate had a good one, he used to tell people he played once at The Goldstone, Brighton V Barnsley.
He played a cornet in a marching band that played during half time.

A mate claims he was introduced to Charlie, who within a few minutes was trying to sell him some trainers that may have fallen off the back of a lorry.

Shared the same postman as Ben White.

Many years ago, when the old Seagull Lottery used to drawn at places around the county, they held the draw at the Beecham Club where my Dad was a member. I was probably about 13 or 14 years old. After the draw, I ended up playing darts with John Gregory and Steve Foster. Fonzie told me that if I hit the bull I three darts, I could keep ‘his’ darts. By some fluke, I hit the bull with my third dart and I was presented with a set of darts belonging to my hero. My dad said he would look after them to keep them safe.

When we got home, I excitedly asked my dad to give me the darts at which point he had to tell me that darts belonged to the Beecham Club and he had to give them back when we left.
Aayyyy :)

Anyway, I once nodded to Gerry Ryan as we passed in the Guildbourne Centre, and that's about it.

Not Albion related but I once (accidentally) kicked former Everton and Scotland striker Graeme Sharp while in a shop at Orlando airport.
