yeah, wasters because they dont work and pay tax that goes to internationl bankers in a corrupt system.....and making a point of the corruption and greed......yep, wasters.

idiot.

personally i dont see it does much, but looking down on them because you work for a boss and pay tax and have little of your own time to create is pretty sad. watch 1984 and get back to me.

Think you may find the tax from my hard work goes to pay for our hospitals, roads, police, fire brigade, schools ..... etc etc

Of course people have the right to protest and, as you say, if it does no harm fair play, but taxation doesn't go directly to bankers!

How is the government funding the state ownership of those banks that needed bailing out?

You may make a valid point, but your laughable conspiracy theories to explain away every single one of societies ills leave you subject to ridicule.

For example, what the f*** has 1984 got to do with these protests? If life was really like it is in 1984, these people wouldn't be protesting, they'd be sitting in bland, grey, co-operative canteens muttering at how great life is.

Oh and for what it's worth, I'm getting more tired of people's intolerance towards protesters. I think there is a valid point to be made, and that is that capitalism is NOT the answer to everything and that it seems that life is becoming less fair rather than more so.

I have to agree with this.

Spot on. The protests themselves might be a bit inchoate and unfocussed with no specific aims, but the issues need raising. If the last few years have taught us anything its that unfettered free-market capitalism is not always the answer to every social and economic problem. (Some of us think its not the answer to any of them but that's by-the-by).

I have yet to explore what the protests are really about, but, as you say, people's intolerance to the protesters is pushing me towards doing exactly that.

But there is protesting and then there is taking the piss. The mongs up the road at St Pauls are now doing the latter which is doing their cause more harm than good IMO.

How exactly is it doing more harm than good? Everyone is talking about it. We are debating it here. If they had packed up weeks ago, we'd be arguing the toss over something else entirely.
