Oh, how about some woodchip wallpaper?

And some tongue-and-groove wall boards in the kitchen. Only half way up though; wallpaper up top.

A simple question about coving has led to all manner of great interior design advice that could really transform my new home.

Thanks chaps - this is exactly why I love NSC!

The most important thing to remember it is very much like weight lifting.

When you pick it up and lift it above your head and you just can’t raise it any more.

That’s when you’ve hit your ceiling!

I thought this thread was going to be about smuggling, or rough pirate sex. Very disappointed.

I'll be honest, I opened this thread wondering if "coving" was some kind of weird sexual practice.

Seeing The Inbetweeners film last night has obviously affected my mind.

Try buying a house where every room has got artex walls

You're lucky. I've spent WAY too long living in a 70's conversion flat with artex ceilings throughout. a.k.a white asbestos. Dead man walking here!

Oh, and re: coving - get a man in. You'll do fine along the lengths of the rooms but the corners are a serious three dimensional bugger to get right.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Oh, how about some woodchip wallpaper?
My house is full of the stuff from when we bought it. I thought about getting rid, but it is a complete ******* to remove so I just painted it jazzy colours and live with it.

Not a lot of progress then :(
..Looks like you will need to repaper to ....have you bought in Worthing?
Just the one built in light?

Currently pulling up the wooden floor in that same room. It looked a bit silly having two big holes in the corners where the built-in wardrobes used to be.

Findon way, yes.
