Easy 10
Brain dead MUG SHEEP
Less than 5 years, that really surprises me. I guess maybe I've been lucky.Neither of our previous two flat screen TVs have made it to 5 years. I’m not going anywhere but John Lewis from here on, for the inclusive 5 yr guarantee.
(I think Richer Sounds possibly offer something similar)
We had a 42" Panasonic LCD flat screen for about 7-8 years which, after a while I was waiting for it to DIE. A lovely TV, brushed silver metal, matt screen, brilliant pic. But I was waiting for it to conk out because I'm childish and wanted a 60"+ LED, which the doris was not in the least bit fussed about. She only watches Corrie.
Anyway, eventually I got my way. I blinded her with science when we upgraded to a Sky Q UHD box, and got my (current) LG 62" OLED installed in the living room to go with it. The faithful Panasonic was retired to the bedroom, where it is still going strong about 10+ years since buying it.
It never crossed my mind to go beyond the 12 month warranty because in my experience, they just don't fail these days. Albeit I was not aware JL give a 5 year one as standard.
