Really sorry to hear of anyone who's been unlucky enough to be affected by this.

They're complete criminals and you should do whatever you can to get what you're owed/get your own back.

Solidarity my brothers!

I did my time there...8 months worth!! managed to get out a month ago to go to Amex. Girlfriend has been made redundant as a result of the f*cking idiots there. And just to rub salt into the wound, whilst my g/f was off seeing her brother in hospital, her team leader was telling her that if she didnt come into the office she would lose her job. :censored::rant:COMPLETE AND UTTER TO$$ERS!!!:censored:

Of the people who did work there, what campaign were you on? Homeserve by any chance?

In response to the guy who said occupy the building, my understanding is that it's rented so it wouldn't do any good as it's not theirs and they would probably get nicked for it. if you can get in nick the telephony and copper wiring

I am well aware of the Directors of this appalling company who were attempting to sell insurance to homeowners who would have already had the same cover on thier buildings insurance. Therefore making it completely unnecessary for them to need this additional cover.

Absolutely terrible for all involved.

I do believe if anyone has any redundancy due, the government might pay the statutory minimum.

That's awful to hear.

I think there should be legislation to cover those who are made redundant for, say, a standard notice period. It should mean blood-sucking liquidators are second in line. You only have to see how much they are charging the Pompey liquidation to realise that priorities are totally wrong.

I'm not saying that Premiership footballers fall into this category by the way.

Although the Argus doesn't seem to have updated its website yet, the paper version says that 'nearby call centre Domestic & General are looking to hire up to 100 people'

Dont give up - occupy!! Seriously, its the only way to go. If its in any way physically possible to get a half decent number of you to lock yourselves in that building (even at night), then I guarantee you I could help you get the most publicity and support you need. Concessions have only ever been won this way.

If youre going to get sacked without or notice or pay, youve nothing to lose. You might as well go out fighting.

Pointless unless Telegen owned the building (which is extemely unlikely)!! The company's gone bust and the liquidator will not give a damn on the PR front.

The only thing that will happen is whoever does break and enter will end up with a criminal record! Not clever when searching for a new job! Think you have been paying too much attention to the plight of the Red Shirts in Bangkok!

My sympathies with all those out of pocket and left with no job by the way!!

The thing that frustrates me more is that it is so out of the blue, surely the directors must have seen it coming? In january of last year they were giving away a £400 LCD TV as an incentive for the top salesman, a business that is suffering as a result of the recession shouldn't be doing that surely!?
