Lots of old school mates on Facebook earlier saying how they've woken up with no job, without any warning.

Yeah, not good.

Just reading one of their profiles;

7 hours ago - Not been paid. Apparently no-one in the office has. Banking problem.

4 hours ago - Fuming. Work have gone bust, not paid anyone, and not told anyone.

I last 4 hours at telegen. It was hell.

Still terrible shame for those losing their jobs. Currently experiencing the same but with ALOT longer notice than them by the sounds of it!

They probably had a meeting with the taxman and just didn't tell anyone. Awful, how many worked there?

The call centre had 300 seats , that could equate to 1200 jobs minimum taking into account different shifts and days off. Last week another call centre company based in the north east , Garlands , went into administration with the loss of over 1500 jobs across 5 call centres.

I worked there for years, thats terrible. This is happening all around the country now, its literally daylight robbery.

If possible you should occupy the building. Theres hundreds of people that work in that place, all you would need is a handful of people to occupy the building, let people know youre doing it once youre in, then make demands for your owed money (which is legally yours) and you would instantly have the support of people on the outside to help out - and it would get the press so quickly. Even if you were in there for a short period of time, it would set a precedent that people - plus youve got nothing to lose!

Is it still possible to get in? I know it was pretty hard before because of the security doors etc, but is there any possibility? Seriously, you'll be surprised how quickly these things spread. I suggest you act now while you still can.

Jobs..

Hi Guys,

Sorry to hear about those of you that lost your job at Telegen. I run a digital media lead generation business and we're recruiting - Were Hiring! | Qualifa, be happy to offer interviews to see if I can help.

Cheers,

James

Sorry to hear that. Son's g/f worked there when they moved to Brighton last year. Telegen had her cold-calling, selling insurance for some unspeakably obscure bit of plumbing pipe or something.

Do what she did, try Amex. And good luck

Dont give up - occupy!! Seriously, its the only way to go. If its in any way physically possible to get a half decent number of you to lock yourselves in that building (even at night), then I guarantee you I could help you get the most publicity and support you need. Concessions have only ever been won this way.

If youre going to get sacked without or notice or pay, youve nothing to lose. You might as well go out fighting.
