Feel sorry that he was attempting to hurt someone else...
Sorry but can't feel sorry for someone who came off worse with such a reckless foul. He could have ended that guys career.
I haven't seen a replay, but I didn't think he was trying to hurt the opponent, just trying to stop them hitting us on the break.

Get well soon Tex.

How could anyone not feel sorry for him? FFS what fans we have. Player of the season, frustrated with the shite he has to pass forward to he kicks out to clip the player and breaks his ankle.

Goodbye Tex, it was an absolute joy to watch you in the stripes and get well soon (and feel free to come back on loan to aid your recovery!).

One of the bright spots of the season. Good to watch even when he wasn't being particularly productive.

And to be fair, we have continued with some bad injury luck, what with Baldock - another bright spark - being out for a goodly part of the season as well.

A broken leg is obviously nasty, but bones tend to heal in 3-4 months without the potential complications of ligament injuries (like Hoskins or CMS). He'll be back playing for someone in the autumn - I'd love to see him back for another season loan!

At least it is not something too messy like ACL, ligaments etc.
Good luck and thanks for the memories (leeds at home especially)....
Look forward to seeing him at the Amex when he returns with a decent team...

This is dreadful news. Hopefully we may see him back here in the latter part of next season as part of his rehabilitation process. There's never a good time for a player to break a leg of course, but at least its at the end of the season and he has the summer break to aid the recovery process. This hopefully will mean, baring any complications, missing less of next season, whichever club he may be at.

Feel sorry that he was attempting to hurt someone else, that he got hurt himself or that he no longer going to wear the stripes? Sorry but can't feel sorry for someone who came off worse with such a reckless foul. He could have ended that guys career.
Geez! It was a foul. Every player commits fouls sometimes, usually accidentally, sometimes 'taking on for the team'. Name me a player in our team who hasn't committed a foul this season - or anyone in the entire league for that matter. Other teams have been doing their best to chop Tex down, or kick him up in the air all season.
The proper penalty for a foul is a free kick to the other side, sometimes a yellow card, or even a red. It is not a broken leg!
Feel very sorry for the lad - he's done his best this season, and now must be in pain, and with worries about his future. All the best, Tex.

Poor kid. One of our better players this season or at least tried a lot harder than some of our other loanees.

It wasn't an accident or one for the team, it was no where near the ball and he hacked the guy down. Sorry he come off worse but it was a heads gone moment.

Get well soon. One of our better players this year.

So that means Dunk gets to be top scorer this year then.

If only our chairman had half as much ambition as Tex...
