Yes mate ... went to dentist and got the trays moulded and stuff in each night for 10 nights all bright and sparkly .. lasts a year and do 'em again .. trays last forever. Don't know about these new places sprung up, do 'em in an hour I think ... probably very good too ... go to Groupon there's always lods of deals on

You might be interested in "deep cleaning" prior to any brightening....a semi-brutal affair which involves clearing all the debris which has accumulated between the railings.This is achieved with metal sticks with hooked points and a lot of pushing,dragging and scraping.Its a bit rough,but so worth it.The outcome is that you can get a micro brush,like a mini bottle washer,between all your teeth. Feels and looks good. Its amazing how much calcified rubbish is clogging your teeth,and the only way to remove it is by force.I had mine done in Bangkok,took a couple of two hour appointments to get it sorted.Been clear ever since too. Place was Bangkok Dental Hospital on Sukhumvit Soi 49 if anyone is interested,an amazing state of the art place like a seven star hotel.Prices unthinkably cheap compared to UK alternatives.They also do all other dental procedures. Might be cost effective to fly out there,take a holiday,pay for a first class service and still save a few bob on UK prices.
In fact Bangkok is a useful destination for any medical treatment...the Bumrungrad hospital is one of the worlds most modern,and makes the NHS look medieval. Top doctors,low prices,instant service. I had some surgery done at the Wellington in St Johns Wood too...Londons finest....but its certainly not as modern or technologically advanced as Bumrungrad.
There are dental hospitals all over Bangkok...and Pattaya too if you fancy some excessive r'n'r while you are out there.
Oh yeah,and you should ditch the smoking too....shiny white teeth are an amazing confidence booster,seems a shame to turn them brown with coffin nails.

Ha! In Thai,it means "Care for the people",so no reason to be alarmed.
It's a spectacular place. A few weeks ago,I saw my GP in Brighton,and was told that for one condition I had the NHS couldn't provide any solution,and for another it would take at least six months before an appointment was possible. I then took a flight to Bangers,got an appointment for the following day,and had the procedure for the former and saw a specialist for the latter.All done and dusted,back to full power. The operation-for varicose leg veins-was a few thousand pounds cheaper than it would have cost privately in London.As the NHS wouldn't do it for budgetary reasons,my options were limited. And,I have never,ever seen a hospital so clean.The corridors on the way to the operating theatre were the brightest white imaginable.By comparison,the Royal Sussex is a slum,unfortunately. The NHS is struggling like never before,and its difficult to see how it will improve with obesity,alcoholism,smoking and insane lifestyle choices dominating our society on one hand and the economy vanishing down the gurgler on the other.

It sure does - or if you've got a dose of leakipoopoo that well known ailment so many suffer from on NSC it appears!!!!
I too am a smoker of many years standing and I had mine done recently a la Rugrat. Worked up to a point (i.e. teeth several shades whiter) and cost apx. £300 (in Gibraltar). Have managed to maintain by vigorous brushing with a so-called whitening toothpaste and have continued smoking. However this process will not give you Hollywood style whiteness - i suspect that will be far more expensive and you may have to get over to Bangkcock for that at a half reasonable price + any extras on the side you may care to entertain!

You could always buy one of these in White gloss and do them yourself,you might even want to do each tooth in a different colour.

It's funny, because I've just seen Helena Bonham Carter on TV and realised she really could do with a bit of teeth whitening. I've noticed it before, but I assumed it was part of her costume for that character she played in the Harry Potter movies. Hope she reads NSC.
