Mine would be:

Kuipers (reckon he'll be well fired up and play a blinder)

Whing
Tunnicliffe (drop Virgo and give him a kick up the arse for his recent comments)
Elphick
Wright

Bennett
Dicker (new Captain)
Crofts (shoot!)
Cox (I reckon Gus will bring the best out of him)

Muzza
Fozzie

C. Davies on for Cox if we are losing towards the end, go to 4-3-3.

They don't know how to play 3-5-2 so would be catastrophic.

I'd go:

----------Kuipers------------

El Abd Virgo Tunnicliffe Wright

Bennett Crofts Dicker A Davies

-------Forster Murray-------
Don't think Whing is match fit yet....

There is no way Elphick and Virgo should play this weekend given our defensive record over particularly the last few games although I think Poyet will stick with them as they are our alledged 1st choice.

I don't see the harm in completely changing the CB partnership, it will in no way be any worse than those two are particularly on the deck. Also a new CB pairing would surely play out their skin to keep their place and it would also give Virgo and Elphick the kick up the arse they have needed since the season began. RB I'd give Whing the nod and LB is the lesser of 2 evils with Jake Wright

Midfield I'd stick with Cox, Dicker, Crofts, Bennet with Murray and Forster up front

For this match he is going to rely a lot of Hinshelwood and what he saw int he reserves so I wont be surprised to see Livermore start

Smith

Whing Tunni Virgo Livermore

bennet dicker thornhill (attacking unlike crofts) davies

Fozzie Muzzie

Whoever plays at centre half is going to get battered by Lambert.

Elphick and Virgo have been pitiful lately but Elphick slightly more. He just doesn't stay tight to his man. Seems like he's got concentration issues more than anything.

I'd be really tempted to go Whing-Tunnicliffe-Wright-El-Abd.

El-Abd will remain a liability at left back though and Southampton will without doubt target him - Wycombe did.

Because of this I'd also be tempted to put Bennett at right-back and Whing left-back. Wasting Elliot without doubt but our back-up options on the wing are reasonable. If we do go behind in the match, get one of Davies/Cox off for El-Abd and stick Bennett on the wing. Might hit them by surprise.

Thornhill unlike crofts :tantrum::tantrum::tantrum:

Your talking bollocks, it really annoys me when people say crofts isnt attacking obviously have never watched him play in detail.

You couldn't call Thornhill an attacking midfielder anyway. You couldn't call him anything.

Kuipers
Whing Virgo Tunnicliffe Wright
Bennett Dicker Crofts Cox
Murray Forster

The obvious, in other words.
I just can't see how our defence is going to keep up with a side like Southampton, no matter who we put out. That is probably the best we have available but Whing's not going to be fully fit, Wright's not really a fullback, and all the central defenders have been poor. I think they can turn it around, they are still decent players, but it will take a bit of time.

Surely we could register Gus, and have him tucked in behind the front two.
