I would stick with Calderon and Vincelot to be honest although you are right they are going to be targeted. Adam is too slow to turn and Hall looked a bit lost last night - I would worry it might be a game too far. Full back was our our weakness last season and it still is although if Painter is fit I would pick him I think. It's a tough call who plays with Greer (a must-play for his organisational ability) but I think Dunk maybe deserves to get the nod as he is playing well and there is a slight doubt about el Abd's fitness. Your midfield is too attacking I think bearing in mind the style of play we need to set up to counteract so I would go with Navs and Bridcutt plus Sparrow and Buckley - Vicente will get his 30 minutes off the bench this week I am sure. Up front I would play CMS and Hoskins - I think they are the current preferred option but have Barnes on the bench and I think young Agdestein earned a place as a sub on his performance last night.

I just think we need to replace Calderon for a game as I'm sure he's going to be targeted (as you said). Plus I agree with everything else, we are likely to field a defensive team (like we usually do away from home) then go for it. I personally think playing a slightly more attacking formation in this game would pay dividends because Peterborough's weakest aspect is defense and best aspect is attack so I think we'll be lucky not to concede, we just need to score more!

The problem is, away from home we look clueless in front of goal compared to at home... Take last night, only 1 shot on target in the whole game (or there abouts)

Agree but at least we aren't carrying Barn Door Billy any more. The key is linking up with CMS more effectively rather than leaving him isolated - give Hoskins a run in the team and find someone who can play that early defence splitting pass from midfield - Vicente maybe?

Oh....and for goodness sake tell our players they can shoot rather than try to walk the ball into the net. Lately Calde and Sparrow have shown we can score from long distance in open play - just like Benno used to!

we do need our midfielders to commit forward more to compensate for only playing one striker while the support striker is pushed wide to give cover to the fullback. JFC and Spaz have shown in recent games how it can be done.

Vicente in his planned 30 minute cameo on Saturday might show us a lot about how the rest of the season can pan out (if we are still in the game when he gets on :) )

Exactly, last night CMS was very isolated but we need our midfield to support him and get the ball to him at a higher tempo

When Posh analyse last nights game they will have noticed Calde being given a torrid time and his positioning , he'll get run ragged if he plays on Saturday. Tano could be a surprise start at LB with Hall on the bench.

everyone is knocking vincelot but did you see how far he was getting forward? i think it was because of this that he found himself on the backfoot in defence quite a bit. i thouht he did ok

I agree, I think he is getting some slightly harsh press. He worked his socks off to no avail. My worry with him was that he really looked lacking in a yard of pace which is something I hadn't noticed before. I'd still play him over Painter though.
My biggest disappointment last night was Navarro - and I'm historically a fan of his. He was woeful.

100% agree with this CMS/Hoskins up front, bosser in the hole behind (Vicente come back please!) and 2 wide men from Buckley/Noone/KLL .... just got to believe this is what Gus is aiming for
