A selection headache for CH on Tuesday. With Bong suspended and Pocognoli definitely not up to speed, plus the injury of Kayal it's a difficult one.

For me...

Stockdale

Hunt
Dunk
Duffy
Bruno

Knockaert
Stephens
Norwood
Skalak

Murray
Hemed

I'd like to keep the same formation as whenever I've seen us play 3 in midfield we haven't looked impressive. I think Norwood showed enough yesterday to earn a place in the starting 11. I'm torn as to what we should do with the fullbacks, maybe if Pocognoli can hack it for an hour we start him however get the impression he wasn't going to be used again until after the international break.

I'd like to see one more attacking player on the bench though as yesterday we looked pretty lightweight had we needed to attack if we went down.;

Is Kayal out? Thought I read somewhere it wasn't as bad as all that ......... but maybe I imagined that!

Don't think we've seen enough of Murray with Baldock yet - tough on Hemed, but that would be my choice - and no change to the back four!

Someone mentioned on here that he'd indicated he would be fit for the next game

Typical to lose Bong just after his best game for ages. Assuming he did it deliberately - and it looked like he looked up before he played it so I think he did - the ball out of defence, from almost on the byeline, to get Knocky away on the break to build up to the first goal, was absolutely superb. Decent cover available at least, assuming the fella's match fit.

Apparently he was wearing a protective boot after the game. Obviously could have been precautionary but would doubt he'll be fit to play on Tuesday.

Norwood in for Kayal if injured and maybe go Adekugbe at LB if Pocognoli isn't fit so we retain balance of the team rather than moving Bruno across and bringing in Hunt.

I believe Adekugbe is also injured, or was taken off early in the last u23 game. Ideally we would keep as many of the defenders in their current positions given our form, just don't know if it will be possible.

I wonder whether CH will go 4-5-1 away bringing in Sidwell and Norwood with either Pocognoli if deemed match fit if not Hunt for Bong. Thus putting Hemed and Baldock along with either Pocognoli or Hunt on the bench to bring on late in the game.

I think this will be a pivotal game in the season. If ever there was a mid-table club then it would be Ipswich. Hopefully an attacking approach for Portman Road.

Still a hard place to go though - Mick McCarthy is no mug. Thankfully with two tough away games I within 5 days Barnsley didn't overly test us yesterday. I'd stick with as near to yesterday's side as possible for both games with Sidders ready if Kayal misses out. I'd take 4 points if offered now.

4 points from Ipswich and Massive would set us up nicely at the International break.

Kayal will be fit hopefully, Pocognoli is a specialist left back who has been training with WBA since preseason and with us for a month, I'm guessing (hoping) he must be fit enough to cover this game whilst Bong sits out his ban. Hunt to cover him when he tires.

Looks pretty solid to me.

If you saw Pocognoli against Reading you would realize he is a long way off of being fit enough to fill Bongs boots for any length of time. I would think the best he could cope with is to start and be subsituted when he tires.
