Why do people keep putting Hemed in the starting XI?

He is easily 5th place now behind Zamora, Wilson, Skalak, and the returning Baldock.

Because even without his goals, he works so hard for the cause and makes chances for others. I also remain convinced, that he will start scoring again . . . eventually.

b) He's rested.

We have to start Wilson because:

a) Bobby needs the support / a foil
b) Brentford have lost Tarkowski and Diagouraga so they'll be vulnerable through the middle, Wilson has the tools to make like difficult
c) We're at home - the onus is on us to attack, therefore 2 strikers required.

Defence picks itself. For me, KLL gets the nod to start over Murphy. KLL makes more chances than Murphy. New arrivals Skalak and Sidwell presumably on the bench.

Sidwell has to start for me, but I can't bring myself to drop Kayal or Stephens so I will leave that decision to CH! Murphy drops to bench (or out of squad?) and KLL or the bouncing Czech starts.

CH will be so pleased you are leaving the decision making to him. I don't think he will drop Murphy out of the squad. In fact I would bet my left testicle on it that he won't.

I have a feeling all the new signings will be on the bench.

In terms of bench, I'd forgotten about Crofts, which is a good sign, and I also omitted Calde in favour of having an extra attacking option on the bench (which I'm not convinced CH will do). But it does indicate that we're beginning to have a strong 18 again, which entails good players missing out. And that's before we start including Bong, Uwe and Rosenoir who all, hopefully, will be back this month, and challenging to get into the 18.
