Short memory Timbo? I know you aren't a new fan, so you must remember a fair amount of players who would have had to inprove greatly to be described as average. To suggest Spanish Dave is anything other than one of the finest footballers to play for us for a VERY long time is going to be hard to justify.

He hasn't been on top form this season but let's not re-write what he did last season.

Maybe badly explained. We've had thousands of players who have been worse than Dave, quite a few who are better. My point about Dave is he's just average in everything he does, which maybe isn't a bad thing.

I think people get a little misty eyed about his free kick against Palace which painted him as a much better player than he actually is!
