I think GPott is going to prove you all wrong again, this time by picking a full back.

Sure it'll be Kerry Mayo, after all he does love his surprises.

a galaxy far far away
Conventional wisdom would suggest it would be the same as the one which lined up tonight.

Not sure we're doing conventional wisdom at the moment though

needs to give Trossard game time, and with Gross looks off the pace against that languid opposition he'll be well out of it against the more assertive Wolves. start same otherwise.

Unless I am mistaken Wolves play wing-backs and so playing Maupay and Connolly to exploit space in behind of the full-backs is a must.

I think there's an argument for Trossard in, Gross out given Mooy is playing well and can take a corner/ free kick.

Wonder how fit Bernardo is. We could move Montoya to the left to handle Doherty if absolutely desperate - can't imagine any of our giants would be able to handle the pace. Would love to see Trossard start, of course, but he might not be ready for it. Fotmob has us down for a 4-4-2, but at times tonight it look more like a 4-3-2-1 - wonder if we might swap Alzate and Gross so that Alzate can play more directly and Gross can distribute. Something like:

Burn
Webster
Dunk
Montoya

Stephens/Propper
Gross
Mooy

Alzate
Maupay

Connolly

Just before he went off it looked like Connolly tweaked his hamstring.

Let's hope he's OK.

If everyone is fit I'd start with the same aide, great momentum and Wolverhampton are a poor side in a false position. If we perform like that again it's another 3 points.

Connolly wont start, if I know my Potter right. He doesnt like to start teenagers twice in one week, since usually arent physically capable. I think he is pretty strict about it considering he even rested Daniel James a lot. And Connolly ran a lot against Arsenal.

Think the lineup will be:
Ryan - Burn, Webster, Dunk, Montoya - Mooy, Stephens, Pröpper - Trossard, Maupay, Gross
