I see that the Argus are suggesting that we “went close” last season when we lost 0-1. Did I miss that game? The game I watched at Spurs last season saw us defending in depth and on the couple of occasions we got out of our half taking speculative and ridiculous shots from distance

“Heroic” defence was the headline I recall as we were used as target practice.

I am hoping for a much better performance on Boxing Day when we may actually pose a genuine threat when we attack

We were AWFUL up there last season. 11 behind the ball and hoofing it into nowhere every chance we got to clear. Amazingly almost got away with it.

Anyone leaving Mooy out of their chosen lineup is a bit drunk IMO.

**** knows who Potter is going to start with, but I’m optimistic we’ll be a lot better than we were last week (‘kin hope so anyway, my brother in law, nephew, niece, ex brother in law and two of my direct reports at work are avid Spuds fans).

I think the formation was our biggest issue today. Playing 3 centre backs against Kane left us light in midfield against some very creative players, I think a 4-5-1 would've been a better option
