Quite a few of our players need a rest, either physically or mentally. So ...

Krul

Schelotto
Goldson
Dunk
Bong

Knockaert
Kayal
Rosenior
Izquierdo

Baldock

Hemed

And if players complain about being left out at Wembley, let them watch the video of Huddersfield and argue that they deserve their place ...

Near Ducks, Geese, and Seagulls
Duffy should have tried to get a tactical booking yesterday, we are unlikely on current form to get anything against Spurs, and Goldson is quite capable of covering there. Not sure Hune can cover that side?

Ryan

Bruno
Dunk
Duffy
Bong

Knockert
Stephens
Kayal
March

Gross
Hemed

Subs:
Krul
Humenier
Rosenior
Propper
Izquerdo
Murray
Baldock

That would be my team based on form. I'm not sure where everyone is fitness wise. I'd like to see Baldock get 20 mins in Gross's position regardless.

On current form, I would not let Murray, Gross, Propper, Stephens and Bruno near the starting 11.

If you frustrate spurs for the first 30/40 they will start to panic and run out of ideas - its been the pattern of the season

I think that it is probably CH view that there are 5 certainties in the starting XI Ryan. Duffy, Dunk Propper Stephens possibly add Gross then build the team around them

* Bong a doubt with knee issue
* Schelotto reluctantly brought in to give Bruno a rest, nowhere near as good as an up to speed Bruno but the guy is knackered
* Stephens passing/ball retention not been good enough of late, could also do with a rest

Hemed must be due for a runout. Hughton's call for rotation during December has been more completely replace players, rather than rest for a game then put them back in. Murray has scored 1 in 4 now, and that one being from the spot. Got to be chance to give Murray a rest and Hemed a chance. Frustratingly, if Hemed is given a chance against Spurs however, Chris is throwing him in the hardest game to score in and have chances.

Spurs are very good at attacking and will pose us problems but defending isnt one of their strong points espe cially with Topby Alderweireld injured and Davinson Sanchez suspended
