I can’t believe some on here are suggesting starting Duffy or especially Bong. Webster is getting better and better, as is Burn. Duffy is so limited sadly in the way we set up and try to play now. We will cash in on Shane in the summer IMO with White returning.

Picking Duffy or bong not ridiculous.

Playing Duffy doesn't automatically mean dropping Webster.

Bong would be more(ahem) left field. I suppose the logic would be he is our only fit left back. Dan burn has been terrific, but he's out if position there and in my view, much more comfortable in a three rather than a full back. Remember gp has been happy to bring bong on a couple of times this season.

Id file both under, unlikely but not inconceivable

Ryan

Webster-Dunk-Burn

Montoya-Stephens-Alzate-March

Gross-Maupay-Connolly

Subs : Button, Galgo, Duffy, Pröpper, Bissouma, Trossard, Murray

Flat back four and two up front please - Trossard in for Mooy.

This is a bigger test than Spurs because if we can't win these kind of home games, then we are in big trouble

The joy of seemingly having a 21 man squad with 3 other long term injuries and at least 4 perma-subs does make for easier team selections.

If Pots ever gets a full and fit 25 man squad with instant access to the under 23's these threads will revert back to being all but impossible.

You're right mate, we should be beating teams like Everton.

A club who've been in the top division for longer than most of us have been alive
A club who must have spent £300+m on the squad
A club who's wage bill must be approaching double ours
A club who haven't been in serious danger of relegation for 20 years
A club who at the start of the season harboured realistic expectations of European qualification.
A club who the bookies favour over us to win the game

Don't get me wrong, I think we've got a decent chance. We're playing well. Yours was just the last slightly silly comment about our chances in this game I was prepared to tolerate before picking someone up on it

Everybody is suddenly dropping Connelly for a half-fit Trossard? Really?

You're assuming he is half fit. Others are assuming he is fully fit, that's why they are playing him. None of us know, but he could be 100% right and raring to go

If fully fit, would you play Trossard? If so, for who?

Have you seen them play this season?

Saw the West Ham game last week after the rugby

But generally, they've not started well.

Doesn't mean they're not formidable opponents who not beating indicates we're in trouble

Were West Ham, Southampton and Burnley not "these kind of home games"?

I do love the crass stupidity and complete lack of self awareness from Albion fans appropriating X spent with Y expectations.

We support a Premier League team put together on the cheap, even the expensive signing are cheap.
The cheapest of them all Groß is one of the best performing Premier League players.
Yet here we are, again, being told we should have an inferiority complex solely based on the other teams spending.
