4-5-1 / 4-3-3 is exactly the formation to play against teams like Brentford. And why do people keep saying that Bennett and Lua Lua need to score more. it would be nice, but their job is to get crosses in, it's Dicker and Crofts who have to be supporting the lone striker.

We should be stable enough at the back to allow our midfielders to get forward tonight. Can't see any reason to change the line-up and I'm sure Gus won't.

["McNulty won't be on the bench?" Wish I could find that Bozza quote Walt!!]

I think he will stick with the same team but tell Dicker and Crofts to push on alot more than they have been. If we're losing/drawing at half time, expect changes then.

What would you go with tonight then? I'd go for:

Brezovan

Calderon Elphick Virgo Painter

Bennett Dicker Crofts Lualua

Murray Forster

Subs:

El-Abd
Mcnulty
Holroyd
Hart
Walker
Navarro
Carole

Yes I think I would go with that.

As I said on the previous thread on this subject yesterday, I would go with that starting team at home but revert to 4 - 5 - 1 away at Oldham on Saturday, where we mustnt lose.

When I woke up this morning, my first thought was, “Oh, f***, Albion are playing at home tonight.”

I would be inclined to leave Navarro out tonight and put Forster in with Murray. I really would rather we went for the win than to try and contain them in the hope of nicking a single goal from somewhere. Then on Saturday bring Navarro back in for one of the strikers again.

You sir are a madman, you cannot play Cattlin at right back, Don Shanks gets my vote even if it is just for the song.

WE'LL TAKE MORE CARE OF YOU..... SHANKS!

The thing that made Don Shanks famous was the fact that he was reported to be shagging a Miss World. I assume that his performance with her was better than it was with us.

I would leave the team unchanged.

Arismendi is likely to be coming into the midfield after today's game and therefore it is a chance for all three centre midfielders to assert their place in the team.

I'd like to think Poyet isn't the type of manager that makes changes after every loss. Yes it didn't work perfectly against Swindon, but it would very well the four games before...
