Team Strengthening

Now we have been promised money for team strengthening (see DK's Christmass Message on main site), does anyone have any news on who MM is after or opinions on what we need?

IMHO we need a creative midfielder who can get play moving and back-up the attack.

You read my mind - that is the player we miss most of all. We have no midfielder who gets in he box. Rogers, Sidwell, Codner, Minton - someone like that please. That will stop the 50 yard gap between the strikers and the midfield. Alexis has been getting forward recently which is a waste as he is pants. He has a good long range shot on him but no pace or eye for goal and should be left what he does best - protecting the back four.

I agree but McGhee don't. I've come to the conclusion it is no use complaining about players not playing. If MM don't like them - we might as well sell them - Knight included. That will at least let MM bring in the type of player he is after. Problem is it won't be pretty and we will be letting some good talent go. But rather that than pay wages to players that won't get a game.

Not much of a choice though is it? Chippy is playing pants. I'm still not a fan of Hammond, and he is not of the quality that i had in mind.

We're sound at the back despite losing Danny (El Abd should be given a good go now....), will have 2 decent keepers when Roberts is back, and upfront if we can keep Mccammon for the rest of the season and get Molango and Mcphee involved have some options there as well.

Jamie Redknapp type player who is experienced, can shoot and can also tackle. This would allow us to play 4 - 4- 2 with McCammon and Knight up front.

We can't keep McCammon for the rest of the season unless we sign him - he is too old.
