With Turienzo signing up looks like we won't sign anymore strikers, Its a gamble but if Knight can have a better season + CZR / Turienzo between them can bang in a few then we could be ok.

Defence could also now be ok , Dodd , Bethe(if proves) , Fish (if signed) could all be good additions, still question mark against LB but Mayo should be good for the start and see how he goes.

Midfield is now the main priority and is where the money we have should be spent. 2 players for cash ie LM + CM then 1 as a squad addition

If this doesn't work , can we add loans during the season as we might need to do this particulary if we still can't score.

McGhee says on seagulls world that he is after a left back, and a winger. I think a decent central midfielder who can distribute the ball well and score a few goals is a must to cover for Chippy. I would imagine that to bring quality players in for these positions would require us to spend some money on transfer fees.

I disagree. We still need a proper left back and to stiffen the midfield.

If FDM is injured on 6 August we need an experienced keeper. A fit Mayo can play left back until something better arrives, but a rookey keeper at pride park could spell diaster. i fully expect MM to get blaney off that idiot redkanpp.

Congratulations, you've just described Dean Hammond!!
My thoughts exactly.
Personally, I am really looking forward to seeing Hammond establish himself in the team this season. For the last 2/3 months of last season he really was excellent - I think he could well be the kind of dynamic box-to-box midfielder we've been crying out for. If he carries on how he did last season then he's exactly what we're after. A very exciting prospect, and he's only going to get better.

Totally agree, Hammond looks quality and not scared to get forward. As long as he can rely on Chippy or Charlie to do the holding job, give Deano the start at Derby.

I personally will be very dissapointed if Hammond isnt in the starting 11 come the first game of the season.
He showed at the end of last season what a midfield player who gets into the oppositions penalty box can achieve, something we havent had since Sidwell left.

My central midfield pairing would be Chippy and Hammond.

Hopefully this season will see a transition in the midfield wher hammond and then Nicolas establish themselves as the first choice. Hopefully Albert will get more of a look in as well.

I'd say a new manager is the priority and one who would sign some tried and tested English lads instead of a load of useless foreigners

what a brilliant idea, why didn't I think of that

After Blayney, An experienced left back and decent right midfielder are the only areas we really need cover for now.
