Kish, Dicker and Barnes amongst the subs, I don't think Gus will use Kish for this one, save him for next week!

Was touch and go whether to put in Dicker instead of Lua Lua, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does that instead, but I think it's a good one for Agdestein to show what he can do.

Rough old day, sturdy opposition. Time to start with a bit more muscle - perhaps we have it already [in bold]?

Barnes is a bit of muscle?! You're of course entitled to your opinion but the ball bounces off this lad with the slightest nudge from behind, let alone his falling over! Never seems to outmuscle a defender either. Agree with the others though.

LuaLua for Dicker will be about it I think

(or maybe for Sparrow - I just cannot read the great man's mind!)

Under your skin.
The winning formula is way he has changed the team week in week out !!

This.

Right now Yeovil have NO idea if we are going to play; 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or 4-3-3.

They don't know if they are going to have Bennett and LuaLua bombing down the wings or Bennett playing behind the front two. They don't know if they are going to have face Glenn or Barnes or if they will have to deal with both.

Poyet is a tactical mastermind -

And that's the key to our success - Gus picks a team that is best suited to getting the better of the opposition. I'd be surprised if the same 11 start today, as Charlton away and Yeovil at home are very different propositions.

Charlton for example were 'obliged' to attack us, as the home team, whereas Yeovil will undoubtedly set themselves up to stifle our attacking play and pressurise the centre back whilst on the ball.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gus (maybe not this match) set the team up to play a more direct style of play, if he thought that would 1) be the best way to get through the opposition and 2) would be the last thing they would expect.

There will be a surprise in the line up, it's becoming Gus' trademark. let the opposition set up a game plan and then ruin it by changing the team

I can't believe people still want to drop Dicker.
That would be madness. I suppose if we had to drop one of the midfield three Kishishev would make the most sense, but we don't.

Poyet said in the week that the Uruguay team he won the Copa America in played three in midfield and let the front three go and win them games. That's what we should do too. :)
