I think this is as close to a best 11 as Potter will ever admit to. Gross/Mooy are interchangeable IMO.

Just haven't seen enough of Bernardo. I wouldn't mind GP testing out Bernardo on left side midfield. I don't think GP will on Thursday or thereafter and Bernardo will fade away.

Probably last season, when we (and Duffy especially) scored a lot from corners. But you're right about Ward-Prowse's delivery. Saw Southampton last night, they look super-fit, and mightily impressive -- hopefully they've exhausted themselves with their exertions against United. I'd be interested to see their distance covered stats.
They pressed as a unit in phases, and were so good at it.

Saints are in good nick, have a very dangerous centre forward and press teams - but they're not Liverpool or City. Potter likes to 'Play' to beat the press - but at this stage of the season where a win will (or even a point might) guarantee safety - what will our coach do?

I'm not quite as optimistic as you here, but agree with the thrust of this post. My fear emanates from Saints' press, which exposed Man Utd on Monday and, beyond City and Liverpool, I don't think I've seen one better deployed than theirs: they know when to do it, how much to do it, and how to do it. On top of that, their players look super-fit.
