Lallana plays for me.
Probably at the expense of Connolly.

Although it hurts me to leave Connolly out and if its the team you suggested I could not pick fault with it really.

Nothing against Solly who has done really well recently, just feel we are going to need Burn's presence.

These are a difficult side to pick

do we stick with wing backs or maybe flat back 4 ? maybe bring in Burn @ LB and Veltman @ RB

midfield with Alzate - Lallana - Bissouma

Trossard, Maupay and AJ up front

I'm making a few changes

Going back 4 and favouring nous and experience over pace and youth

--Veltman Dunk Webster Burn
Lallana Alzate Bissouma March

Yes, it's almost beginning to look live we're actually close to having a 'first eleven'. Don't know how Potter will react to that idea though! Would like to shoehorn Lallana in there somewhere, but I'm not sure who I'd drop for him. Would have Mac Argie on the bench ahead of Gross.

There is some advantage in playing that system because it would be easy to switch to 3 at the back with wingbacks if it doesn't start well. Veltman and March can switch, as can Burn to play left centre back.

My concern with that, however, would be the silly 4-2-2-2 formation would probably be the first choice change and play March somewhere other than the position he has value in, left wing back. Anywhere else and we're playing with 10 men.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Not sure, but if Roy plays Cahill and Sakho I'll be backing Lamptey to win another penalty or 2.

Exactly this. Palace will sit in deep and play on the counter. Connolly´s pace won´t be as effective, while Lallana´s guile probably will
