If we end up on 37 points that means losing either 6 or 8 games out of the next 9. The GD wouldn't be so good then !
Never ceases to amaze me how many people fail to join the dots between the requisite losing streak and the negative impact on the current goal difference.

Think people are so used to being near the top of the table and the goal difference not fluctuating negatively as often, that it is regually overlooked.

Even worse when you consider the positive impact from others hitting their required winning run. For most of this season it just hasn't been a factor that will keep us up and to me still isn't. We need enough points.

Hughton says it'll be a strong side he picks ( argus ).

If any of the players out of contract in the summer don't feature, I suspect it will be a big indication that they are on their way.

Krul
Maenpaa
Bruno
Rosenior
Hunemeier
( Sidwell, injured )

After Hughton's comments, I now expect it to be a full strength side with perhaps Krul, Bruno, Suttner and Goldson in there.

Totally agree. We don't have a game the following week either, so rest isn't needed. We will be up against a very strong United team as well, so could be on the end of a hiding if we don't play our strongest possible team.

Hughton has inclinated that it’ll be the first team playing, with an international break to follow. We tend to struggle against teams that press and rush us, rather than the more methodical defensive style that Mourinho seems to favour. We’ll be massive underdogs with the bookies, but I think we might have a chance here.

I hope Stephens is fit again, boy did we miss him at Everton.

Bruno Goldson Dunk Bong
March Stephens Kayal Izquierdo
Locadia
Ulloa

Not massively weakened really. Propper and Duffy rested (bench perhaps) as on international duty I reckon, Murray also on the bench

Not sure why March is in everyone's team, he has been shocking for weeks now.

Bench at most for me.

Using what we have with our best players on the pitch, give THEM something to think about instead of using worrying about the opposition.

Its 90 minutes from Wembley in the FA Cup FFS.

Has to be bold and this is bold providing all are fit.

Schelotto Duffy Dunk Bong
Izquierdo Stephens Propper Locadia wingers MUST switch during the game
Ulloa Murray.

ATTACK, ATTACK, - ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK.

---------------------------------------------------------
-------------------Ulloa----Locadia-----------------

Subs.
Krul

Hunemeier
Stephens
Pröpper
Baldock

Probably too positive a line up and could be case for Pröpper/Stephens to have a half each in a midfield 3 with Leo & Locadia getting 45 mins each as well. Can see LR playing RM but would be a test of Bjordal's mettle to start him as contract up in summer and 21 now.

I've changed my mind,

---------------------Krul---------------------
-------Goldson--Duffy--Hunemeier---
Schelotto--------------------------Suttner
--------------------Dunk---------------------
------------Kayal--------Pröpper----------
-------------------Izquierdo-----------------
-------------------Locadia-------------------

Subs
Maenpaa
Bruno

Ulloa

Some have misunderstood what Chris said. He said, he always picks a team in cup matches capable of winning each game. Given Man Utd's likely team selection will be strong now they are out of Europe, I think he will have no option but to go virtually full strength!

With Knocky absent I would play just the one winger in Izquierdo. I would play Schelotto and Bruno. I would be tempted to start Locadia and have Hünemeier in the squad.

In CH's press conference he's said that Bong hasn't trained yet this week, and Stephens as only been doing rehab work. Will decide tomorrow on both.

Not conclusive either way as to his availability Saturday, but Schelotto has been in Portugal this week - was still there until at least yesterday.

Likely to be a mix of first team regulars and squad. Sounds like Stephens and Bong may be doubts cos of injury. I reckon CH will go with the following:
Krul
Bruno, Dunk, Goldson, Suttner,
March, Kayal, Propper, Izquierdo
Locadia
Ulloa
Subs:- Maenpaa, Rosenior, Hunemeier, Murray, Schelotto, Gross, Baldock

What I would like to see is the following:
Ryan
Duffy, Dunk, Goldson
Schelotto Bong,
Stephens, Propper
Gross
Locadia, Murray

So Matty Ryan surely, Can't understand why so many on here want him left out
