Sanchez
Veltman, Dunk, Webster
Lamptey, Bissouma, Mwepu, Lallana, Cucurella
Trossard, Maupay

Would be my ideal XI. Gives us width and pace, Biss cleaning up, Cucu and Lamptey dropping back when needed and pushing on when we can get out, Trossard floating the whole width and Maupay being a nuisance.
Hopefully we can sneak something, just need Liverpool to have an off day or us to be magnificent. Stranger things have happened.

Still in Brighton
I thought we looked more dangerous than we have for a while with The Computer in a more attacking role but I've no idea of the formation to fit him in. But I'd go with that!

Bissouma’s inclusion would be massive. Both in terms of his presence but also the (non public) status of the case against him.

The fact that he has got 1st team minutes this week suggests to me that the club know at lot more than the fans about this issue. They are clearly in a position to assess the reputational risk verses the chance of a charge or conviction involved with playing him.

I doubt the risk increases much from playing a league cup game to playing a premier league game so we might see him today but I don’t want to speculate. All I will say is that if the club are behind Bissouma, then so am I.

I trust them.

I totally agree . If the club had reason to believe a court case was likely , I very much doubt he would have played mid week.

I’m not sure we’ll have this team, but it’s the one I’d love to see:

Sanchez
Veltman-Dunk-Webster
Lamptey-Bissouma-Lallana-Moder-Cucurella
Trossard
Maupay

Mac Allister to come on if a midfielder isn’t on it.

Yes please if all fit and available. That's tough on Duffy, March, Moder, Gross and Mac Allister, but that's indicative of the growing strength of our squad.
